Six conversations with Arieh Lova Eliav which relate to the variety of his activities over almost seven decades. Each episode is an hour of intimate conversation between Eliav and a different person connected to his life’s work. The guests range from author Eli Amir to politician Shulamit Aloni and the head of the IDF Benny Ganz. Eliav and his guest go through the various stations of his life as the most Zionist person in Israel – they visit Beit Berl and Nitzana, they go to the illegal immigrant camp in Atlit and stop by various important projects that he initiated. Archival footage from his life is interwoven.This series is a cultural document that salutes the important work of Lova Eliav over the year, and beyond that also touches on central topics such as education, closing the pay gap and instilling contemporary Zionist values. Eliav, who was a man of both the Hagana and the Aliya, is a man of education and democracy. He is a politician and a man who works for human rights. He was also a writer and a recipient of the Israeli prize. He passed away on May 30, 2010 in Tel Aviv.
