Description

A TV series of more than 200 episodes that was produced by Castel Films between 1982 and 1986 and was broadcast on cable channels in the U.S. and Canada. Each week for four years, a one-hour episode was broadcast documenting life in Israel from various perspectives on different topics mediating the local news and burning issues of the time to millions of viewers in North America. Apart from breaking new grounds in terms of TV content, it was the first Israeli show to be aired abroad and Hello Jerusalem bridged Israeli audiences and Diaspora Jews. The episodes of the series have become a rare documentation of life in Israel in the 80’s.
